His 2020 album is one of his most diverse albums to date, mixing the genres of Americana, folk, blues, and rhythm and blues together. It mixes acoustic folk bangers "I Contain Multitudes", "Black Rider", "Mother of Muses", "Key West (Philosopher Pirate)" together with electric blues hits "False Prophet", "Goodbye Jimmy Reed", "Crossing the Rubicon", a torch song "I've Made Up My Mind to Give Myself to You", and a couple of genre-defying tracks such as "My Own Version of You", "Murder Most Foul".
