The story

The story, touching on the susceptibility of teenage boys to violence and harm, the struggles of have-nots in a world of have-its, the trepidations and confusions of being young, conflict, teen angst and, of course, romance, hit the stage like a ton of bricks in 2023 and opened at the Bernard B. Jacobs theater on Broadway in 2024.

Set in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the 1960s, 'The Outsiders' follows the story of Ponyboy Curtis and two rival gangs divided according to their socio-economic status..
