The Book of Mormon, one of the the longest-running shows in Broadway history, will now be arriving in Chicago! and showing at Cadillac Palace on Wednesday 11th September 2024!

This tale is of the coming-of-age story of an odd pair of two Mormon missionaries, Kevin Price and Arnold Cunningham, the Book of Mormon creatively challenges religion and religious storytelling, and presents it in a visionary and comedic manner. The two missionaries are given a mission to convert the residents of a local village in Uganda, who turn out to be facing more important challenges than what they aim to preach.

The Book of Mormon was a brainchild back in 2003 by creators Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez, continuing on to its debut in 2011. Since then, the Book of Mormon has become one of the most financially successful Broadway plays in history, with repeatedly full houses for over a decade.

Praised as one of the most modern and creative Broadway shows of all time, The Book of Mormon has been a fan favorite all over the world. In its tour over a number of cities in the United States, London’s West End, and Australia among others, the musical has been met with an remarkable reception from theatre fans and sold-out shows. In Chicago, it is expected to be no different as the performance on Wednesday 11th September 2024 will be running in Cadillac Palace, with a reputation of running the unrivaled plays and musicals, and treasured by audiences because of its marvelous sound system and beautiful interior decor.

The Book of Mormon is a musical comedy about religious conversion, specifically Mormon missionaries named Kevin Price and Arnold Cunningham, as they are entrusted to spread their religion’s faith and teachings to a small local village in Uganda. They figure out however, the local residents do not care about their preaching, as they face issues of their own. The pair then each use their own way to convert the locals, with Cunnigham’s often involving adding fake stories to his religious teachings.

To date, The Broadway hit has garnered several awards in both Broadway and West End. Then from the other side of the world, from the Australian tour in 2017, it also won two Helpmann Awards that also included for Best Musical.

Financially, The Book of Mormon has also achieved stunning monetary success with more than 4,600 performances as of the end of alst year. It has grossed over $1 billion dollars worldwide, and was even contributed to by the church through purchases of ad space, billboards, bus advertising space, and other marketing campaigns in the several destinations in which the show performed in.
