Since the musical's creation more than 40 years ago, Les Misérables, or Les Mis, has transformed from an only-local theater classic found in Paris to one of the most highly-awarded and fan favorite shows in the eyes of local and international audiences. Over the last century that the musical has been touring, Les Misérables has been performed in 22 different languages, in 53 countries, and has been watched by over 130 million people in each locale visited.

In December, the musical’s tour arrives in a new location in Chicago, where Les Misérables will be performed in Cadillac Palace on Sunday 29th December 2024. Cadillac Palace was masterfully built and prepared as the leading play venue of Chicago, housing a well-crafted stage and seating setup that is big enough to have a musical of this scale, in addition to appropriate amenities that are contained inside the theater.

The musical is centered on the life of Jean Valjean, an ex-convict distressingly searching for a second chance after his escape from parole. His entire story, presented through two emotional acts, are staged fully through song from the opening number to the finish of the play. The West End musical being lyricized from beginning to end is a clever manner of execution that this musical has over other known West End plays, and is the chief cause why each individual song performance never fails in its objective of in every sentence or note sung.

It's no wonder that as a result of this style, the show is also full of unforgettable dramatic performances. Interestingly, in the face of the collection of songs that can be witnessed in this grand musical, every single cast member in the stage adaptation is given their own spotlight, with each discrete ballad given as much emotional depth as the rest. Not one single person who has attended Les Mis can forget Fantine’s “I Dreamed A Dream”, which conveys with the ballad a powerful longing and has been performed countlessly by other artists in contemporary cinema. “Bring Him Home” also passionately creates one of the musical's best moments, revealing to us the very soul of Jean Valjean’s character in only one totally awesome song.

The globally-acclaimed musical will only be available in Cadillac Palace, Chicago for a limited time and on Sunday 29th December 2024; tickets are now available for sale via our ticketing partner by clicking the links that can be found above this page.
