Chicagooooo - we’ve been waiting for this one since LAST summer after the ballet left, so you KNOW we gotta do it right. Spring is finally creeping back into the city, the big thaw is settling in, and life feels like it’s starting all over again : so you know we gotta do it big to come out with the big W in the theatre world. We’re driving 100 miles per hour and heading straight for the bright lights at the Cadillac Palace Theatre for one of the most theatrical runs of the entire season - two FULL weeks of vibes and changing tides in the Big City, On Thursday, April 30th, the Gatsby crew rolls into town looking for something fun to do. A Tony-Award–winning spectacle that’s been leaving theatre goers breathless everywhere they go- get ready for a full on dive into the world of West Egg: AKA tons of music, ambition, champagne-fueled highs, and all the glitter that the Roaring Twenties is giving us all over again this century. All Gatsby themed, of course! 

This national tour has been shaking things up all year long since it premiered on Broadway last fall: hitting houses all across the country and coming directly from the mind of director Marc Bruni: alongside with help from Jason Howland, Nathan Tysen, and Kait Kerrigan! Cities coast to coast have seen the story already outside IRL: and the reviews have to die for! Theaterly review said “This is modern day American musical theatre at its finest, that feels right for the whole family. When you have an uber talented company of some of today's favorites, it's hard to go wrong,” wow! SO AKA - we must go! We’re bringing the Broadway aura all the way here to the go - so you KNOW what we need from you! 

And with a story like The Great Gatsby - how can we lose?! The book remains one of America’s most enduring works of literature. Created by Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 novel didn’t catch fire until decades after its release, when it found new life in the hands of World War II soldiers, critics, and readers who recognized its sharp dissection of the American Dream — its loneliness, its opulence, its hollowness. It’s a book we all read once and never quite shake off. And with this musical adaptation, the themes hit even harder: the jazz-era decadence, the impossible longing, the green light glowing from across the bay — all amplified through sweeping choreography, powerhouse vocals, and a production that feels both nostalgic and brand new.
